I went on a one day retreat last week – just me!

Armed with my bible and devotions, I have to say it was the best ‘retreat’ I ever had. I can see why Jesus would go off by himself and pray.

It’s hard sometimes to fall asleep in a strange place, but I kid you not, the last verses in the bible entry for the day (one year bible):

Proverbs 3:21-26

My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul… They keep you safe on your way, and your feet will not stumble. You can go to bed without fear; you will lie down and sleep soundly. You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, for the Lord is your security.

Chocolates for Moms

Tammy R. & I visited the Children’s Hospital with Donna for Maddi’s Closet this morning. What an incredible person Donna is and what an amazing experience it was to hand out the candy bars to the moms.

MOPS collected 800 regular and king size candy bars and 133 snack size bars for Maddi’s Closet! We only took half of them today, as it was just too many to take for one trip.

Even the half we took was plenty. We had so many bars left over that we left a bowl full for two nurse’s stations, and the rest were left for the volunteers to give to the critical unit.

Let’s continue to support Maddi’s Closet! We will update you with their year-long events.
